Cheyenne Rabadia

University of San Diego — M.A. Candidate School Based Clinical Counseling
University of California, Santa Barbara — Bachelor of Science in Psychological Brain Sciences with minors in Educational Studies and Applied Psychology

Cheyenne Rabadia (she/her) is the counseling intern at Army Navy this school year. She is an Oceanside/Vista native and is currently in her last year of fieldwork before she is eligible to be licensed in Pupil Personnel Services and Clinical Counseling; she is ready to learn as much as she can from the cadets, faculty, and counselors that she works with this year. Cheyenne wants to become a counselor because she experienced a lack of adequate social-emotional support while she was in high school, and saw a need to represent and address the unique needs of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American students, as well as all other students. As part of her master’s program, she is currently researching the effect of intercultural interactions on both domestic and international students’ empathy, stress, and sense of belonging on campus. She enjoys working with students and has a variety of experiences working with newborns, toddlers, and students in each K-12 grade! She can’t wait to facilitate small groups, deliver guidance lessons, and work one-on-one with students to support their social, emotional, academic, and college/career needs. Cheyenne is bilingual in English and Gujarati.

In her free time, she enjoys photography, live music, discovering new parts of the city, and trying new things.
