Your cadet’s TAC officer should be the first point of contact if you have a question about your cadet’s living situation, disciplinary record, or other issues. TAC Officers are on duty from 2:00PM to 11:30PM Pacific Time, Monday through Thursday.
In the event of an emergency or if your cadet’s company TAC is not on duty, please contact the Operations Office for a prompt response.
What channels does Army and Navy Academy use for communication?
Phone and Email. Please ensure that your phone number and email address are up-to-date in Aeries. Members of your cadet’s support team may reach out over the phone or email at any time with progress updates, questions, or important information.
Social Media. Army and Navy Academy has an official Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Youtube channel.
Newsletters. Army and Navy Academy sends newsletters out via SchoolMessenger. Please consider adding both the armyandnavyacademy.org and spe.schoolmessenger.com domains as trusted senders to ensure that you get important communications about your cadet. Instructions for doing so in Gmail, Yahoo, or Microsoft mail products are available upon request. Emergency notifications from SchoolMessenger will be accompanied by texts to your cell phone on file.
My ANA. The Army and Navy Academy website contains a wealth of information for families. This section contains access to portals, bulletins, calendars, and schedules and is web and mobile accessible.
How do I monitor my cadet's progress?
Aeries is your primary source for information about your cadet’s academic and disciplinary progress. You can log in to Aeries at the Parent Portal for an up-to-date report on your cadet’s successes.
Your cadet’s TAC officer is the primary point of contact for general information about how your cadet is doing. You can also contact your cadet’s teachers, or counselor for further information. For a full listing of our faculty and staff, please visit our staff directory.
How can I find out what's happening on campus?
Weekly Warrior. The Academy sends out a Friday broadcast called the Weekly Warrior. Information about upcoming events, sports schedules, and more are included in each edition.
Calendar. Our school year calendar is available under the “My ANA” section of the website.
Daily Bulletin. The daily bulletin goes out to cadets every morning and contains information about the meal menu, cadet schedule, the day’s games, and other pointers essential to your cadet’s success.
Special Events. Upcoming family weekends and other major events are detailed on the Special Events section of the website under “My ANA”.
Athletic Schedules. Games, meets, and matches are detailed on the Athletics section of the website under individual teams.
Where can I post a review?
Army and Navy Academy welcomes reviews from parents and cadets. We appreciate your open and honest feedback. If you have an unsatisfactory experience at the Academy, we’d love the opportunity to work with you on your concerns. Major sites where we are reviewed include:
How can I refer a prospective cadet to the Academy?
If you know a prospective cadet who would benefit from the Academy’s boy-focused environment, we welcome your referrals. The Academy is always looking to enroll cadets with strong values, academic achievement, and a desire to succeed in college and far beyond.
We thrive on your referrals. Current cadets, parents, and alumni who successfully refer a cadet resulting in a verified new enrollment will receive a $1,000 credit at the Academy store. Please contact the Office of Admission for details at 888.762.2338.
How do I get photos of my son?
Each week, the Weekly Warrior features photos of cadets across campus. The Academy’s photographer, Randel Berg, also takes photos of cadets at special events. They are available at his website.
What should I know about visiting the Academy?
Army and Navy Academy opens its doors to patrons several times each semester for “closed weekends”, during which we host a variety of activities and events for parents. These include parades, parent-teacher-TAC conferences, concerts, dinners, and auctions. You can find out when these events are coming via our Special Events page.
Many hotels in the Carlsbad area offer special rates for Academy patrons. You can find a full listing of hotels with deals for Academy guests here.
What are the Academy's policies and procedures?
To ensure everyone is well informed about our policies and procedures, we distribute cadet and parent guidebooks.
Cadets are required to review the guidelines as part of their initial plebe training.
Families are strongly encouraged to read the parent guidebook to become familiar with internal policies and procedures.
