Best Private School for Track & Field
Want to do Track and Field in high school? Army & Navy Academy’s Track & Field team will get you moving, competing, and enjoying local sites in San Diego. Whether you are running around campus, finding local hills to practice, or participating in competitions, Track & Field is a great way to get sunshine, exercise, and make new friends.
Beyond just boarding schools, track and field is gaining speed at many private day schools. The Academy offers a day option too for middle and high school, but most of our students do reside on campus as boarding students. This is largely because they live too far away or they are international students, but in some cases, they simply want to be on campus for more time spent on their athletic pursuits. You might be surprised to know that even some of our local students opt into or switch to boarding status. They often find they enjoy the ease of practicing after hours and on weekends and want to spend more time with their friends.
No more being a “shuttle parent!” For parents and guardians, we take care of all the transportation to games and meets, so you can just enjoy family time with your teen when he is home. For many sports, we also do live-streaming, so parents far away can catch games on on our YouTube channel and get updates on Facebook and Instagram.
Track & Field at Elementary and Middle Schools
While some students attend Army & Navy Academy for both middle and high school, some students transfer after 8th grade into our high school. With that in mind, it is interesting to see so many K-8 private schools now offering track and field athletic programs. This is great preparation for high school athletics!
According to Private School Review, some of the best California private schools offering track and field include these K-8 (elementary and middle schools): Clairbourn (San Gabriel), The Children’s School (La Jolla), High Point Academy (Pasadena), Mission Basilica School (San Juan Capistrano), Park Day School (Oakland), St. Mary’s School (Aliso Viejo), St. Michael’s School (Poway), Alta Loma Christian School (Rancho Cucamonga), Berkeley Hall School (Los Angeles), Brandeis Marin (San Rafael), Brookfield School (Sacramento), and Oakwood School (N. Hollywood). Join us for your high school experience!
