Football
One of the many California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sports offered at Army and Navy Academy, football is among the most popular athletic opportunities on campus. We offer middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams. Teamwork and a strong sense of brotherhood take the team to new heights as we practice and play on our state-of-the art Maffucci Field. We focus on participation and motivating every team member to push their athletic potential.

Best Boarding School for Football
Want to play football at a private high school with CIF sanctioned sports? Football is one the most popular sports at Army and Navy Academy. You may not think that football prep schools can develop star athletes, but Army & Navy Academy is ranked as a top boarding school for football. As a college prep private school for grades 7-12, the Academy is home to many football athlete-scholars and notable alumni in various sports.
California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) – Army and Navy Academy is a member of CIF Coastal Conference. We participate in CIF sanctioned sports and have been CIF champions in a number of sports over the years.
Athletic Facilities: Playing sports at the only Military Academy in San Diego has a number of benefits. First, we have a state-of-the art athletic facilities. Duffield Athletic Center, Maffucci Field, and Bliss Stadium are well-known throughout San Diego County. By comparison to other private schools in Southern California, our facilities are stellar. We have even been used by professional football teams for practices. It is that good! Through generous donations from parents like Mr. Duffield, alongside our Board of Trustees, and fundraising efforts, the Academy was able to fund the first phase of our Master Plan several years ago and build the Duffield Athletic Center, Bliss Stadium, and Maffucci Fields.
Teams: We offer Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity Football for 9th through 12th graders. We also have a middle school flag football team.

The coaching staff and the team will support and mentor you and take your game to new heights. The varsity football team at Army & Navy Academy will help you develop grit, tenacity, and perseverance, as well as build your confidence. We also offer a middle school football team as well as Junior Varsity (JV) football. We keep it fun, fast, and safe at Army & Navy Academy.
Get Fit Physically and Mentally: Beyond physical fitness, we emphasize mental fitness and help athletes learn how to be more strategic in sports.
Gain an Edge for Athletic Scholarships: In addition, our stellar counseling staff will help you apply to colleges and universities, where you can continue to play the sport and apply for college scholarships.
