Army and Navy Academy’s waterfront campus is located on the beach in beautiful Carlsbad (San Diego County), California. The campus is the perfect venue for a variety of organizations and regularly hosts nonprofit workshops, conferences, and summer leadership camps. Our boarding school facilities are regularly used by youth and adult athletic groups, musical workshops, non-profit organizations, and more. We are within walking distance to Carlsbad Village, a small coastal town with a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, and theaters. San Diego is home to an international airport, theme parks, museums, concerts, and other attractions.
During the summer and academic year, we have rented facilities to various groups, including, Sunnyvale Wrestling Club, Damien High School (football), Apollo High School (football), Offense-Defense Educational Foundation, San Diego, San Diego Scottish Highland Games, College of Piping, Long Beach East Stake, Newport East Stake, Huki Foundation, Sea Cadets, and NVMI. We have rented fields to Carlsbad Thunder Rugby, Our City Soccer, Escondido PAL, and San Diego Legion Rugby.
Army and Navy Academy (ANA) offers a variety of dormitory and cottage style lodging options which can be tailored for each individual group. Guests stay in double or triple occupancy rooms furnished with a bed, desk, clothing shelves, and a closet. As an additional paid service, groups are also able to request linens (sheets, blankets, pillows). These are provided for an additional fee.
Lodging at Army & Navy Academy includes access to the different facilities available on campus. Customize your visit to include use of our: swimming pool, beach, gymnasium, tennis courts, chapel, classrooms, library, or oceanfront recreation center. We also offer guests the use of our lighted turf field, and the Duffield Sports Pavilion, which includes a full size gym, wrestling room, and weight room.

Meals will be prepared by professional kitchen staff and served cafeteria style in our campus dining hall with seating for up to 380 people. Starting with dinner on day of arrival, each group has the option of scheduling three meals per day during their stay. Every meal includes a hot entree, fresh fruit, extensive salad bar, sandwich bar, and access to our beverage station.
As a meal replacement or special event, groups are able to request a beach-side BBQ allowing them to take advantage of our location and enjoy the ocean views and sunset. Customized menus for a group’s time on campus can be provided upon request. Most special diets and special meals requests can be accommodated with prior arrangements.
Our Cadet store features snacks, sundries, shirts and other apparel. It also stocks basic supplies and toiletries. The Cadet store has a modified schedule during the summer, so please check in advance for hours of operation.
ANA has security on campus 24 hours a day; however group leaders are responsible for the supervision and behavior of their guests and program participants at all times. The recommended staff to participant ratio is 1:10 and ANA requires background checks for all supervisory staff.
