MAY 18-19, 2023
The grand finale of your cadet’s time at Army and Navy Academy is commencement. Commencement is a time to celebrate our graduating seniors, their accomplishments, and how they’ve grown during their time at the Academy.
Mother & Son Tea
(Seniors and Mothers)
Seniors and their mothers are invited to engage in one of Army and Navy Academy’s most touching traditions. This tea service allows graduating cadets and their mothers to celebrate a job well done and is the formal start of our commencement activities.
Middle School Promotion and Awards Ceremony
Virginia Powell Atkinson Memorial Chapel
(8th Grade Cadets and Families)
Army and Navy Academy’s 8th grade class will officially become high schoolers in this emotional ceremony at the Virginia Powell Atkinson Memorial Chapel. There will be a reception following the ceremony in the adjacent Rec Hall.
Change of Command Sunset Parade
(All Cadets and Families)
This parade relinquishes the senior class from its duties and ushers in the new leadership for the next academic year. Families are welcome to attend. This event will be livestreamed for Army and Navy Academy community members who are unable to join us.
Senior Banquet & Baccalaureate Service
Duffield Sports Center
(Seniors and Families)
Seniors and their parents are invited to a special dinner at the Duffield Sports Center, where they will spend an evening looking back on memories of their time at ANA and celebrating their future.
Front of Davis Hall
(Seniors, Junior Leaders, and Families)
Army and Navy Academy seniors and their families will enjoy one last spectacular event at the Academy, the commencement ceremony. This senior graduation event will be held in front of Davis Hall, a tradition going back to 1936.
