Bill Lundy ’60


Bill Lundy ’60 was very active in the Atkinson Warrior Band and Masque and Wig Club while attending the Academy. His experiences in the clubs taught him the value of teamwork, public speaking, and working toward specific goals.

Although he began his career as a lawyer, he retired as a longtime employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). While working for FEMA, Lundy specialized in Geographic Information Systems His research has helped keep citizens safe from the damages of fires, floods, and other natural disasters.

Lundy has always been an avid supporter of the Academy. He’s served on various Alumni Committees, and once served as the Alumni Board Secretary. Sadly, he was suffering from cancer at the time he was to be presented with the award and was unable to accept it in person. He has since passed, but his legacy of service and commitment to the greater good lives on.
