Mrs. Jiabia was born in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school, she attended Northwest Missouri State University where she graduated with honors with a bachelor of science degree in middle school education with a concentration in mathematics. Mrs. Jiabia holds a Missouri teaching certificate for grades 5-9 (mathematics) and a mathematics single-subject California teaching credential.
Mrs. Jiabia has been married to an active duty Marine Corps officer for 17 years. They have lived in six different states, moved into eleven different homes and endured five long combat deployments. Being the spouse to an active duty military member for 17 years, gives Mrs. Jiabia a keen insight and understanding to the methods and approaches for those students that may desire future aspiration with the profession of arms or a career that requires all the competencies that are accrued through its disciplines. She not only understands the importance of comradery, but has lived it. Mrs. Jiabia wholeheartedly believes in every value the military instills and naturally employs them while teaching. She does not just want to teach students to appreciate and understand mathematics, but wants to help mold good contributing members of society.
Mrs. Jiabia has three children, Sophia is a senior in high school, Frank is in 7th grade and Josephine is 5th grade. She loves spending quality time with her family and watching the Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays.
