Kyla Gutekunst is the school counselor for cadets in grades 10-12 with last names that begin with A-H. Her role consists of supporting cadets with their personal, academic and college/career journey. Kyla is the advisor for the Peer Tutoring club, where she facilitates cadets supporting their peers. She is passionate about assisting cadets with their college and career exploration and enjoys helping them find a path that fits their goals and interests.

Kyla feels it is important to stay current in her field with continuing education and membership associations. She is a member of ASCA (American School Counselor Association), CASC (California Association of School Counselors) and NACAC (National Association of College Admission Counseling). Before joining ANA in 2021, Kyla was a school counselor in Massachusetts for several years working with students in grades 7 through 12.

In her free time, Kyla enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, running and cooking. She is also a fan of all Boston sports teams, particularly the New England Patriots. GO PATS!
