Jeanie Lacob currently teaches 7th and 8th-grade science and Biology at Army and Navy Academy. Prior to this she taught 4th through 8th-grade science and served as a biology instructor to high school students. This has given her over 10 years of experience in adapting to all different levels of learners. She received Teacher of the Year while teaching life science at Rosemont Junior High School in the Glendale School District, and a Halo Award for excellence by the San Marino Unified School District PTA while teaching science at Huntington Middle School.

She graduated from the University of Southern California where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She later went on to obtain a Single Subject Biological Sciences Teaching Credential and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

Mrs. Lacob is an energetic and student-focused teacher, who is committed to providing a well balanced, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all of her students.  She utilizes a variety of instructional skills and methods; varying them in order to accommodate student needs, interests, learning styles, and ability levels.  She develops a warm, positive, and encouraging relationship with students, using their interests to engage students and assist them in understanding the curriculum.

Jean and her husband, David,  have lived in Encinitas for over twenty years. They have two children, Arielle, who attends the  University of Southern California and Drew, who will be starting at the University of California, Los Angeles in the fall.

In her free time, Jean loves gardening, reading, and exercising.
