Ethan Segovia

Mr. Ethan Segovia is the Dean of Academics and has been at the Academy for over thirteen years. He currently serves as the adviser of the Harvard Model Congress Team, the Model UN Team, and the Gardening and Agriculture Club. Mr. Segovia taught Middle School History and Geography, AP U.S. History, and a variety of other Social Science courses before moving into Administration. He has also coached baseball, football, and varsity basketball.

Mr. Segovia enjoys working with all Cadets to help prepare them for a future in an increasingly competitive and global world.

Mr. Segovia was born and raised in Cardiff by the Sea, a small surfing community in San Diego. He attended UC Santa Cruz and graduated with a BA in History. He holds a California Teaching Credential in Social Sciences, a Master’s in Education, and an Administrative Credential in Educational Leadership. Mr. Segovia is also a Gurian certified trainer and a certified Leading Edge Blending Learning instructor.

In his free time Ethan enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball with Cadets, surfing, reading, and traveling the world to learn more about other cultures.
