Mr. Brett Bartlett is the 11th grade English teacher. He previously taught Civics and Economics at Mt. Carmel High School in the Poway School District, where he was nominated by the graduating class as their Honor Teacher of the Year. He graduated from Arizona State University with a MA in History. Mr Bartlett also attended ASU as an undergraduate, where he majored in History, minored in Political Science, and graduated summa cum laude. He completed his undergraduate, graduate work, and teaching credential in less than 4 years.

Mr. Bartlett enjoys both preparing his students academically for the modern world and building up and supporting them in their extracurricular activities. A Southern California native, he was born in Big Bear California and raised in Fallbrook. Prior to education, he was a Realtor and real estate team leader for the past 13 years. He taught courses to new agents in topics about real estate, sales techniques, and real estate technology.

In an interesting twist of fate, Mr. Bartlett’s wife, Cailin Bartlett, worked at the Army and Navy Academy several years ago as a counselor. The Bartletts have been married for 12 years and have two young daughters.
