Autumn Ball is one of Army and Navy Academy’s most enduring traditions, stretching back to our founding year in 1910. Please schedule a time for Parent-Teacher-TAC Conferences and attend all the exciting events. Schedule is below.

During Autumn Ball Weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your cadet’s parents and TAC officer. These meetings are by appointment only, so please sign up in advance at the link below!

What To Wear
Friday Night Football: Black and gold athletic attire or other Academy spirit wear. Warrior Pride!
Senior Ring Ceremony: Cocktail Attire

Military Review & Academic Awards Ceremony: Layers recommended. Temperature estimates are currently in the 60s-70s.
Local Liberty
Local Liberty is when cadets can check out with their parents to enjoy beautiful Carlsbad Village right outside our gates. The Autumn Ball Weekend Local Liberty times are:
Friday
All Cadets: 1230 – 1700
Cadets can check out with parents for overnight stays after Friday Night Football and must report by 0745 on Saturday morning.
Saturday
For Non-Seniors: 1100 – 1830
For Seniors: 1100 – 1630
Cadets can check out with parents for overnight stays after 2200 and must report by 0915 on Sunday morning.
Sunday
All Cadets: 1230 – 2000

Please check in with us on Friday or Saturday at our welcome table located near the Operations office on the north side of campus.

Army and Navy Academy will be going head-to-head with O’Farrel Charter at Maffucci Field. Come dressed to support Warrior Football in your best Academy athletic apparel!
Morning Colors
Saturday
0830-0845, Davis Hall
Families are invited to watch our daily cadet ceremony. During morning colors, the Corps of Cadets raises the nation’s flag, officially heralding the beginning of another exciting day at Army and Navy Academy.
Spring Break Meeting
Saturday
1330 – 1415, Samuel Warfield Peterson Library
Families interested in the Spring Break trip to London, Normandy, Paris, and Berlin should report to the library for an important meeting.
Senior Ring Ceremony

Seniors and their families will come together to celebrate the time-honored tradition of seniors receiving their class rings.
Grand March and Autumn Ball

1900 – 2200
Seniors and their dates will participate in a formal grand march, one of the Academy’s oldest traditions, kicking off an evening of dancing and music as the Academy celebrates another incredible Autumn Ball.
ANAPA Event

While the cadets are having fun, the Army and Navy Academy Patrons’ Association will be sponsoring a great event in Davis Hall for patrons and guests. 21 and over only!
Pancake Breakfast

Start your morning off right with pancakes and other gourmet offerings from the Mess Hall. Eat like a cadet and treat yourself!
ANAPA Meeting

The Army and Navy Academy Patrons Association, or ANAPA, is the best way to support your cadet while he is attending the Academy. Whether you’re interested in getting involved or simply want to learn more about how ANAPA supports cadets, join Lisa Meyer and the ANAPA Board for this informative panel.
Military Review & Academic Awards Ceremony

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for. The Army and Navy Academy Corps of Cadets will present a military review and academic awards ceremony on Maffucci Field for the enjoyment of the Academy community. Academic awards to be handed out during this ceremony will include honorees from Spring of the 2020-2021 School Year, along with this year’s first round of Silver A winners–the highest award a cadet can attain while attending the Academy. As a special treat, this year’s parade will center around an Assumption of Command ceremony for Major General Peggy C. Combs, the incoming President of Army and Navy Academy!
