CPT Justin Hodge Bravo Company
Captain Justin Hodge is the Bravo Company RLO. Captain Hodge was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Phoenix, Arizona at a young age. He spent six years on active duty with the United States Navy where he was a member of the Navy’s first SWAT team and served as a member of the protection detail for Air Force One. Upon his separation from active duty, he spent time in property management until he joined Army and Navy Academy in 2004. He is a member of the USN Reserves and the coach of the Army Navy Hockey Club. He is married with one daughter.
CPT Jason MacDonnell Charlie Company
Captain Jason MacDonnell is the Charlie Company RLO. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. After high school, he attended the University of Maine and later joined the United States Marine Corps where he spent five years on active duty. Subsequent to that, he worked with the Department of Fish and Game and California Conservation Corps and earned many certifications. He came to Army and Navy Academy in 2003 as the Charlie Company RLO. He is an avid cyclist, outdoorsman, and chess player. He is married with two children and is the Army Navy Cycle Club coach.
CPT Jerry Thomason Echo Company RLO (Lower School)
Captain Jerry Thomason is an Echo Company RLO (Lower School) who has been at Army and Navy Academy for over six years. Captain Thomason spent over 25 years with the United States Marine Corps finishing his career at Camp Pendleton and retiring at the top enlisted rank of Sergeant Major. He enjoys mentoring young men and is actively involved in Lower School sports: baseball, basketball, and football.
CPT Robert Long Headquarters and Band Company
Captain Robert Long is the Headquarters and Band Company RLO. He was born and raised in California and joined the US Army at the age of 20. He served at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Iraq during his three years with the Army. He attends college and is near completion of a college degree. He has been associated with Army and Navy Academy through previous volunteer work and enjoys art and hiking. He joined the Army Navy residential life team in 2007-08 school year and will return to the Academy this fall again as the HQ RLO.
CPT Matt Spann Assistant Echo Company
Captain Matt Spann is an assistant company RLO for the Lower School. Captain Spann is a native of Southern California and joined the US Marine Corps Reserve in 1999 as a light armored vehicle crewman with three separate deployments. He has attended Cal State San Marcos and studied in social science. He enjoys golfing, snow boarding, water skiing and wake boarding. Capt Spann returns to Army Navy Academy in the fall for his second year of service.
"It's going great here. It's all a learning experience. It's a challenge living (at) school constantly, but I'm taking advantage of what they have here. I needed extra help, and I'm getting it here. It's a family."

Modified Closed Weekend
Friday December 5th 2008
This weekend is a MODIFIED closed weekend. So that some Cadets can participate in the La Jolla Christmas Parade and prepare for the AFI.
Belmont Park
Friday December 5th 2008
Friday's activity is a trip to Belmont Park from 6:00-10:00pm. It is open to all cadets not on restriction.
