Life at ANA
Attending an all-boys boarding school removes some of the pressures to be what is popular and allows the freedom to explore all aspects of a young man's potential. Cadets at ANA develop close friendships with their classmates, teammates, and roommates. These bonds last a lifetime and embed special memories of the achievements and challenges experienced during the formative high school years.
In addition to the tasks required in the classroom and on the playing and parade fields, cadets enjoy a variety of recreational activities. One center of leisure time activity is the recreation hall overlooking our private beachfront on the Pacific Ocean. Cadets can select from a variety of snacks and refreshments, watch television or movies, play electronic games, air hockey, ping pong, or pool. Cadets have access to the beach for swimming and surfing when our lifeguards are on duty. All cadets take a yearly swimming test to qualify for beach and pool admission.
Weekend activities vary in nature and include trips to local movies and malls, laser tag, paintball, museums, professional sporting events, Six Flags Magic Mountain, water parks, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Sea World. Unusual activities such as indoor skydiving, rock climbing, and ski trips also provide a welcome break from academic pursuits.
Regarding Travis Emerson, Class of 2002 & Curent Admission Counselor:
"Travis is a shining example of a student who really committed himself to making the most out of what our program has to offer. That's a joy for all of us, just to watch that blossoming."
Margarite Daniel, Former Director of AdmissionCalendar
