Message from the President

The Army and Navy Academy is an institution where boys become men. Here, we educate and develop young men of good character to lead lives of service and excellence.

How do we do this? First, we provide the cadets with a top notch course of academic instruction that will lead nearly all of them to the college or university of their choice. Small classes, committed teachers, a strong support structure all combine to make excellence possible.

Additionally, we focus on other aspects of the development of the "whole man". We offer an athletic program that enables most to compete at the interscholastic level on one of our twelve teams. Others participate in intramural and/or physical fitness training. Everyone does something. We also have a number of clubs and a student government to give cadets additional personal growth options in their "off duty" time.

Cadets are members of a cadet battalion that is part of the U.S. Army JROTC program. As cadets mature in the program, they earn rank and are assigned leadership positions commensurate with their demonstrated performance and potential. The cadet structure governs them in their residential life in the cadet barracks.

Underpinning all of this is their character and spiritual development. Concepts such as duty, honor, and country take on meaning. All in all, the ANA experience is for most a life-changing one that will define future success, happiness, and an attitude of commitment to selfless service.

Warrior Pride!

"One could say that putting my appreciation for this Academy in words would be near impossible.  The respect and love I feel for you is beyond mere words on paper . . . Thank you, mother and father, for allowing me the opportunity to build a strong foundation for my future."
