History

Thomas A. Davis founded the San Diego Army and Navy Academy, a military boarding school for boys, on November 23, 1910. The Academy opened its Pacific Beach campus with only thirteen students.

By 1924, it had an enrollment of 175 cadets.

In 1936, the Academy found its new home on the beaches of Carlsbad, Ca.

In the next 70 years the Academy has made significant progress, increased its enrollment, and expanded its facilities.

We are proud to be celebrating our centennial in 2010 and hope that you will be able to be a part of the Academy's long standing history.

"The word that every senior waits to hear is GRADUATION. Graduation at Army and Navy Academy is a profound and memorable experience for graduating cadets. It is a time of separation and a time of fulfillment … a time when the cadet will go forth, imbued with our Academy’s philosophy, to meet the challenges he has successfully worked towards. This is a time that students and faculty members will remember for a job well done. No other occasion at the Academy has such meaning or represents greater accomplishment. Thank you, and Warrior Pride!
