Small class size, personal attention and discipline to one's studies motivate each cadet to reach his potential at the Army and Navy Academy.
The rigorous core curriculum, based on the University of California's entrance requirements, is taught using a carefully developed learning system. We recognize that each cadet learns differently, and our student to teacher ratio of 10-1 allows us to utilize appropriate strategies to help ensure each student’s success. Visual and performing arts classes expose students to fine art, drama, music, photography and more allow each cadet to explore and express his creative side.
The Academy’s unique advantages include our leadership program and its mentoring approach. The Academy’s Leadership Education Training (LET) program provides discipline and structure while at the same time emphasizing leadership through citizenship LET lessons extend beyond the classroom and into other aspects of our young men's lives.
Additionally, cadets' experiences in athletics, clubs and residential life reinforce teamwork, lasting friendships and ongoing personal growth. In essence, the Academy is a life laboratory, with life lessons learned throughout the day and into the evening hours.
Today more than 300 young men in grades 7 to 12 from around the world walk in the footsteps of nearly 6,000 alumni. They preserve the Academy's rich traditions while embracing a rigorous yet supportive college preparatory curriculum.
Due to the unwavering care and professionalism of our outstanding faculty and staff, we take great pride in witnessing the growth in our cadets' self-confidence, self-reliance and directness of purpose as they prepare to lead responsible and productive lives.
