A Message from the President of Army and Navy Academy

The Army and Navy Academy is an institution where boys become men. Here, we educate and develop good character in young men so they can lead lives of service and excellence.

How do we do this? First, we provide the cadets with a top-notch course of academic instruction that will lead nearly all of them to the college or university of their choice. Small classes, committed teachers and a strong support structure all combine to make excellence possible.

Additionally, we focus on other aspects of the development of the "whole man."

We offer an athletic program that enables most to compete at the interscholastic level in one of our 11 sports. All others participate in intramural and/or physical fitness training. We also have a student government and a number of clubs/activities to give cadets an opportunity for additional personal growth.

Cadets are members of the Academy’s cadet battalion that is part of the U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program. As cadets mature in the program, they earn rank and are assigned leadership positions commensurate with their demonstrated performance and potential. The cadet chain of command governs them in their residential life in their residence halls in the late afternoons and evenings.

Underpinning all of this are their character and spiritual development. The concepts of duty, honor, country take on greater meaning.

All in all, the ANA experience is for most a life-changing one that will define future success, happiness and an attitude of commitment and selfless service.

Warrior Pride!
