The Mission...
During its 100-year history, the Army and Navy Academy's Mission Statement has been to educate and develop young men of good character. So far, more than 6,000 boys have crossed the threshold of the Academy on their way to becoming young men of good character and acquiring the knowledge and skills to lead successful lives, as well as being contributing citizens and responsible leaders in their communities. They are all products of The Army Navy Experience—a 100-year "new" tradition built on excellence in Academics, Athletics and Leadership.
The Vision...
As defined in the Army and Navy Academy 2005-2010 Strategic Plan, the vision of the Academy is to be a premier, internationally recognized boarding school for young men. It will be known for its academic excellence and its military foundation will enable its graduates to develop leadership skills and character traits necessary to succeed in life.
The Philosophy...
The philosophy of Army and Navy advances the fulfillment of our mission and provides a pathway for cadets to:
• gain respect for country, love of God and devotion to all for which they stand;
• appreciate education and the realization of individual potential;
• maintain personal honor and a sense of pride in themselves;
• develop discipline, leadership qualities and respect for others.
